Reporter

Role Description The Reporter role at WanderLuxe Overseas is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The reporter will research and pitch story ideas, conduct interviews with sources, and gather information on travel, lifestyle, and overseas opportunities. Daily responsibilities include producing accurate and engaging news stories, features, and multimedia content for digital platforms, meeting deadlines, and adhering to editorial standards. The reporter will collaborate with editors, photographers, and multimedia teams to shape story angles and ensure content is fact-checked and well-structured. The role also involves monitoring relevant trends, attending events when needed, and maintaining professional relationships with sources and industry contacts.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Reporting and News Writing skills, with the ability to produce accurate, timely, and engaging stories.
Candidates should possess clear and effective Communication and Writing skills for interviews, articles, and collaboration with team members.
Candidates should possess basic to intermediate Multimedia skills, such as working with photos, video, or audio to support digital storytelling.
Candidates should possess strong research abilities, attention to detail, and adherence to ethical journalism and fact-checking practices.
Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field are beneficial.
Prior experience in reporting, digital media, or feature writing, especially in travel or lifestyle domains, is an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, manage tight deadlines, and adapt to changing editorial priorities.
Proficiency in English; additional language skills relevant to the region and international travel are a plus.
