Role Description The AI Video Editor will be responsible for designing, editing, and refining video content using both traditional editing tools and AI-powered solutions in a full-time, remote capacity. Day-to-day tasks include assembling raw footage, applying transitions, color adjustments, and audio enhancements, and using AI tools to automate or augment tasks such as scene selection, caption generation, and visual effects. The role involves collaborating with content creators, marketers, and product teams to understand project goals and translate concepts into polished, on-brand videos for various channels, including social media, websites, and presentations. The AI Video Editor will maintain organized project files, manage version control, and adhere to deadlines while ensuring consistency in style and quality. The role may also include exploring new AI video technologies, proposing workflow improvements, and contributing creative ideas to enhance audience engagement.
Qualifications
Strong video editing skills using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and familiarity with AI-assisted video tools.
Experience with motion graphics, basic animation, and visual effects to enhance storytelling and brand consistency.
Knowledge of audio editing and sound design, including dialogue cleanup, music integration, and sound effects balancing.
Understanding of digital media best practices, including formats, aspect ratios, and optimization for social media and web platforms.
Ability to interpret creative briefs, follow brand guidelines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail, a keen visual sense, and openness to feedback and iterative improvement.
Relevant experience in video production or post-production; a portfolio or reel showcasing prior work is highly beneficial.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Film, Media, Design, Communications, or a related field.
