We are looking for a Software Development Engineer II (SDE II) to join the Data and Reporting team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of data engineering and backend engineering, transforming raw data into meaningful insights that drive business decisions. You will work across Sales, Revenue, Billing, Traffic, User Engagement, and Business Reporting systems.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Apache Spark (Scala / PySpark).
Manage workflows and data processing in Databricks.
Build curated data layers (Bronze / Silver / Gold architecture).
Integrate internal APIs and external data sources for ingestion and transformation.
Deliver dashboards and reporting solutions using BigQuery and Looker.
Improve data quality, lineage, and system performance.
Troubleshoot reporting discrepancies and ensure timely business reporting.
Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Backend Engineering roles.
Strong programming skills in Scala / Python / Java.
Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and Databricks.
Experience with BigQuery, Looker, or similar BI tools.
Backend development knowledge: REST APIs, Java/Python.
Experience with MySQL / PostgreSQL.
Experience building batch or near-real-time pipelines.
Exposure to GCP or other cloud platforms.
Strong problem-solving and independent working skills.
Good to Have:
Experience with Airflow or orchestration tools.
Experience in Fashion / E-commerce domain.
