Role Description The Python Intern role is a full-time, remote position supporting PPStack’s educational technology and learning solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing and testing Python code, assisting in the development of learning tools and automation scripts, and contributing to data handling or simple APIs as needed. The intern will help debug issues, refactor existing code, and maintain documentation for codebases and learning projects. Collaboration with mentors and cross-functional teams will be expected to support course content, small prototypes, and educational resources. The role also involves participating in code reviews, learning best practices in software development, and proactively exploring ways to improve tools that enhance learner and client experiences.
Qualifications
Strong foundational Python programming skills, including working with data structures, functions, modules, and basic object-oriented concepts.
Experience with common Python libraries or frameworks (e.g., requests, pandas, Flask or FastAPI basics) and familiarity with virtual environments and package management.
Understanding of software development fundamentals such as version control (Git), debugging, testing, and writing clean, readable code.
Basic knowledge of web technologies or APIs, and interest in data processing, automation, or backend development.
Ability to learn quickly, follow technical guidance, and collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document code and explain technical concepts simply.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree, bootcamp, or self-directed learning in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Interest in EdTech, AI-driven learning, and building tools that improve education and career outcomes; prior project experience or a GitHub portfolio is a plus.
