Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a NodeJS Developer at PPStack. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and APIs using NodeJS to support PPStack’s learning platforms and digital products. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean and scalable code, integrating third-party services, optimizing application performance, and ensuring security and reliability. The NodeJS Developer will collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, data teams, and instructional designers to deliver features that enhance user experience and learning outcomes. The role also includes troubleshooting production issues, participating in code reviews, and contributing to technical documentation and continuous improvement of the technology stack.
Qualifications
Strong NodeJS and JavaScript skills for backend development, including experience with frameworks such as Express or NestJS.
Proficiency in working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and asynchronous programming patterns.
Experience with databases (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and data modeling for scalable applications.
Familiarity with cloud platforms and DevOps practices (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker, CI/CD pipelines).
Understanding of application security, authentication/authorization, and best practices for secure API design.
Version control experience using Git and collaborative workflows (branching, pull requests, code reviews).
Ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team environment and communicate clearly in English.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in EdTech or building learning platforms, and knowledge of AI or data-driven applications, is a plus.
