We are looking for a Patent Office & Innovation Intern to help us research intellectual property, identify emerging innovations and build a strong network across India's innovation ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct basic research on patents, intellectual property, innovation and emerging technologies.
Search and track relevant patents, inventions, technologies and innovations across different industries.
Build and maintain a database of patents, innovators, startups, researchers, universities, incubators, innovation centres and relevant organisations.
Build and continuously expand AIMRPx's network across the innovation ecosystem in India.
Reach out to innovators, researchers, startups, universities, incubators, patent professionals and innovation organisations for potential collaboration.
Identify innovation programs, incubation opportunities, government initiatives, competitions, grants and other relevant opportunities.
Research emerging technologies and innovations that could create business, research or advisory opportunities for AIMRPx.
Support the team in identifying potential intellectual property and innovation opportunities for clients and partner organisations.
Prepare short research reports, databases and opportunity briefs on patents, technologies, innovators and innovation ecosystems.
Coordinate with patent professionals, researchers, institutions and innovation organisations whenever required.
Ideal Candidate
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in law, engineering, science, technology, management or a related field.
Must have a basic understanding of patents, intellectual property and innovation.
Strong interest in technology, research, patents and innovation.
Good internet research, documentation and analytical skills.
Strong communication and networking abilities.
Comfortable reaching out to people and organisations professionally.
Proactive, curious and willing to learn.
Comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment.
Must be staying in Bhubaneswar.
Must be comfortable with a hybrid working model.
Key Outcome
The primary objective of this role is to help AIMRPx build a strong and active innovation network by connecting with innovators, researchers, startups, universities, incubators, patent professionals and innovation organisations across India.
The intern should not only research patents and innovation but also actively build relationships and create a useful ecosystem of contacts and opportunities for AIMRPx.
