Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Data Scientist role based in Canada. The Data Scientist will work closely with immigration and visa consulting teams to analyze client data, application outcomes, and process efficiency, transforming raw data into actionable insights. Daily tasks include collecting and cleaning data from multiple sources, building analytical and predictive models, and creating dashboards and visualizations to support decision-making and performance tracking. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to identify trends, improve client experience, optimize internal workflows, and support strategic planning. The Data Scientist will also document methodologies, present findings to non-technical team members, and ensure data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Data Science and Data Analytics to build models and derive insights from complex datasets.
Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Statistics to design analyses, interpret results, and validate models with appropriate statistical techniques.
Candidates should possess expertise in Data Analysis and Data Visualization to explore data, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science (such as Python or R) and experience with SQL and data manipulation tools.
Experience working with BI tools (such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar) for dashboard creation and reporting.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, with attention to detail and data accuracy.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team and communicate complex findings to non-technical audiences.
Prior experience in consulting, professional services, or a data-focused role in service-oriented industries is an advantage.
