Role Description: The Floor Manager's role is to oversee daily factory operations, manage production staff, and ensure order deliveries are on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Supervising Production: Monitor assembly lines, cutting, shaping, and finishing stations to meet daily output goals.
Managing Staff: Assign daily shifts to workers, train new machine operators, and track worker attendance.
Maintaining Quality: Check finished furniture for defects, structural weakness, and surface flaws before packaging.
Ensuring Safety: Enforce factory safety rules, ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain woodworking machinery.
Required Skills
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of woodworking tools, CNC machinery, assembly processes, and raw materials.
Leadership: Strong communication skills to resolve conflicts and motivate factory floor teams.
Problem-Solving: Ability to fix machine breakdowns or staffing shortages quickly without halting the entire line.
Time Management: Skill in balancing tight delivery deadlines with high quality standards.
