Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineer role based in Tamil Nadu, India. The Mechanical Engineer will work on designing mechanical components and assemblies, preparing detailed CAD models and drawings, and supporting machine design activities from concept through to final documentation. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with project teams, performing calculations and basic simulations, reviewing designs for manufacturability and safety, and contributing to research and development efforts for new or improved products. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders, assisting in project planning and tracking, and ensuring that all deliverables meet technical standards and client requirements.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering fundamentals, including knowledge of materials, mechanics, and manufacturing processes.
Candidates should possess skills in Machine Design and the development of mechanical systems and components.
Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and 3D/2D modeling for engineering documentation.
Candidates should possess abilities in Project Management, including planning, coordination, and tracking of engineering tasks.
Candidates should possess experience or interest in Research and Development (R&D), including design improvement and innovation.
Relevant bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and standards, with attention to detail and quality.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
Familiarity with industry codes, safety practices, and basic tolerance and GD&T principles is beneficial.
Prior experience in design services, manufacturing, or product development is an advantage.
