Role Description The Mechanical Engineer will work on-site in Coimbatore in a full-time capacity, contributing to the design, development, and optimization of industrial pump systems and related mechanical components. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and reviewing mechanical designs, preparing detailed CAD models and drawings, and performing calculations and simulations to ensure performance, safety, and reliability. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams on product development, participating in R&D activities, supporting manufacturing and assembly, and assisting in troubleshooting technical issues. The Mechanical Engineer will also help manage projects by tracking progress, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders, and preparing technical documentation and reports. This position requires active engagement on the shop floor when needed to validate designs, support testing, and ensure effective implementation of engineering changes.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply core engineering principles to industrial pump systems and mechanical components.
Proficiency in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating detailed models, drawings, and assemblies.
Experience or exposure in Research and Development (R&D), including prototyping, testing, and improving mechanical designs based on performance data.
Project Management skills to plan tasks, manage timelines, coordinate with teams, and ensure successful completion of engineering projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, standards, and specifications; familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials is beneficial.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and interact with production and suppliers.
Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and readiness to work on-site in Coimbatore in a hands-on engineering environment.
