Role Description The Chief AI Transformation Officer is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Mumbai, responsible for defining and executing the company-wide AI and digital transformation strategy. This role oversees the identification of AI opportunities across business functions, leads the design and deployment of AI solutions, and ensures alignment with organizational goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with executive leadership on strategic roadmaps, guiding data and engineering teams, and setting standards for AI governance, ethics, and risk management. The position involves evaluating technologies and vendors, managing AI-related budgets and resources, and establishing performance metrics to measure impact on efficiency, customer experience, and revenue. The Chief AI Transformation Officer will also champion change management, build AI literacy across the workforce, and represent the organization in key external partnerships and industry forums.
Qualifications
Proven experience leading AI, data, or digital transformation initiatives in a mid- to large-scale organization, ideally in manufacturing, consumer products, or technology-focused sectors.
Strong background in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, and automation, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical business solutions.
Demonstrated expertise in strategy development, business process optimization, and change management, including driving cross-functional programs from concept to implementation.
Experience building and leading multidisciplinary teams (data science, engineering, product, operations) and fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and outcome-focused culture.
Knowledge of AI governance, data privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory considerations, and ethical frameworks relevant to AI and advanced analytics.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and facilitate alignment across departments.
Comfort with modern technology stacks and platforms relevant to AI, cloud computing, data infrastructure, and integration with existing enterprise systems.
Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; equivalent experience in senior leadership roles will be considered.
Track record of measurable impact through AI-driven initiatives (e.g., productivity gains, cost reduction, customer experience improvement, new revenue streams).
