Role Description The Assistant Manager Sales Marketing for Railways Electric Panel is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi. This role focuses on developing and managing sales and marketing activities for railway-specific electric panel products, including identifying business opportunities, preparing proposals, and supporting tender and bid processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with existing and potential railway clients, maintaining strong customer relationships, coordinating demonstrations and technical discussions with internal engineering teams, and tracking inquiries and orders. The Assistant Manager will contribute to marketing campaigns, collect and analyze market and competitor data, and provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to leadership. The role also involves ensuring timely follow-up, post-sale support coordination, and participation in industry events and visits to railway offices or project sites when required.
Qualifications
Sales and client relationship skills: ability to manage key accounts, build long-term customer relationships, and drive negotiations for railway and institutional clients.
Marketing and business development skills: experience in creating and executing marketing plans, lead generation, market research, and competitor analysis for industrial or electrical products.
Technical and product understanding: familiarity with electrical panels, switchgear, or related products, and the ability to understand basic technical specifications and communicate them clearly to customers.
Organizational and communication skills: strong planning, documentation, and reporting capabilities, with clear verbal and written communication for proposals, presentations, and internal coordination.
Education and experience: bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field; prior experience in B2B sales or marketing, preferably in electrical or railway sectors, is highly beneficial.
Professional attributes: ability to work on-site, travel for client meetings and site visits as needed, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and meet sales targets within defined timelines.
