Role Description The Deputy Manager Sales Marketing for Railways Electric Panel is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi. This role is responsible for developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies for railway electric panels, including identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and maintaining relationships with railway authorities, contractors, and OEMs. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and presenting technical and commercial proposals, coordinating with internal engineering and production teams, tracking tenders and bids, and ensuring timely order execution. The Deputy Manager will analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to optimize pricing, product positioning, and promotional activities. The role also involves regular field visits, participation in industry events, and reporting on sales performance and forecasts to senior management.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of sales and marketing principles, with experience in industrial or electrical product sales, preferably related to railway systems or electric panels.
Technical understanding of electrical switchgear, panels, and related products, with the ability to interpret specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
Proven experience in client relationship management, negotiation, and closing deals in B2B or institutional markets.
Ability to conduct market research, analyze data, and develop targeted sales and marketing strategies.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in preparing proposals, reports, and documentation.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) or a related technical field; an MBA or equivalent in Marketing or Sales is an advantage.
Comfort with on-site, field-based work, including regular visits to client locations and project sites.
Proficiency in standard office productivity tools and basic CRM or sales tracking software.
