Product Manager - k-12 app development

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Product Designer role based in Mumbai, focused on K–12 app development. The Product Designer will collaborate with educators, agency, and engineers to design intuitive, engaging interfaces for students and teachers, ensuring seamless user journeys across web and mobile platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include translating learning objectives into user-centric product features, creating wireframes, prototypes, and visual design assets, and conducting user testing to refine the app experience. The role also involves gathering feedback from classroom usage, iterating on designs to improve usability and accessibility, and maintaining a consistent visual language aligned with BookEinstein’s brand and pedagogical goals.
Qualifications
Demonstrated skills in Product Design and Design Thinking, with the ability to translate learning and business goals into user-centered solutions.
Experience with User Research and UX Research, including planning studies, synthesizing insights, and applying findings to improve product experiences.
Strong Visual Design capabilities, including layout, typography, color, and interaction design for web and mobile applications.
Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or similar).
Understanding of K–12 learners’ needs, accessibility standards, and education-focused digital products is highly beneficial.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate design decisions clearly, and respond constructively to feedback.
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience in edtech or designing products for children or educators is a plus.
