Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Database Developer at PPStack. The Database Developer will design, develop, and optimize databases that support PPStack’s learning platforms, analytics, and digital solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and maintaining database schemas, writing and tuning queries and stored procedures, implementing ETL processes, and ensuring data integrity and performance. The role also involves collaborating with engineering, data, and product teams to translate business requirements into scalable database solutions and supporting database administration tasks such as backups, security, and monitoring. The Database Developer will contribute to improving data workflows and enabling reliable, data-driven decision making across the organization.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Database Development and Database Design.
Candidates should possess skills in Database Administration and performance tuning.
Candidates should possess skills in Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and data integration.
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and a data-driven mindset.
Experience with relational database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and SQL.
Familiarity with cloud-based databases and data warehousing solutions is beneficial.
Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or similar) for data-related tasks.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
