Full Charge Bookkeeper

ABOUT THE ROLE
F5 Global Talent is hiring an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to independently manage the complete bookkeeping cycle for a U.S. business.
You’ll own the books from day-to-day transactions through month-end and year-end close — including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit-card reconciliations, payroll entries, journal entries, and financial reporting.
This is more than transaction entry. You’re expected to understand what the numbers mean, recognize when something doesn’t look right, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues independently.
You’ll also prepare core financial reports including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement, and be able to explain the numbers clearly to people who are not accountants.
This is a full-time, remote role working U.S. business hours.
IMPORTANT: We are looking for someone who has personally managed full-cycle bookkeeping for a business, not someone whose experience has been limited to one part of a larger accounting department.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Record and categorize day-to-day financial transactions
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date books
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Reconcile bank, credit-card, and other balance-sheet accounts
• Process payroll and related bookkeeping entries
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities
• Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve them independently
• Identify trends, anomalies, and potential financial-control issues
• Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and internal teams
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• 5+ years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Hands-on full-cycle bookkeeping experience
• Experience independently owning the books for a business
• Strong accounts payable and accounts receivable experience
• Bank and credit-card reconciliation experience
• Payroll processing and payroll-entry experience
• Strong journal-entry and general-ledger knowledge
• Month-end and year-end close experience
• Experience preparing financial statements
• Strong QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting-software experience
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies without close supervision
• Strong written and spoken English
• Excellent attention to detail and organization
• Ability to manage multiple financial tasks and deadlines independently

• Experience supporting audits or tax preparation
• Financial analysis or trend-identification experience
• Process-improvement and financial-control experience
• Experience handling confidential financial information in a remote environment
