Civil Design Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE
F5 Global Talent is hiring an experienced Civil Design Engineer to produce complete civil site plans for U.S. residential, commercial, and land-development projects.
You’ll work in Autodesk Civil 3D to design grading, drainage, retaining walls, parking and roadway layouts, utilities, stormwater systems, and related site-development infrastructure.
This is a true civil design role — not CAD drafting from someone else’s markups. You must be able to interpret survey data, architectural requirements, zoning documents, and project constraints, then make design decisions and produce complete, coordinated plan sets.
This is a full-time, remote role working U.S. business hours.
IMPORTANT: Strong hands-on Civil 3D experience and real civil site-design experience are required. We are looking for someone who can independently develop site plans, not simply draft redlines prepared by another engineer.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Develop grading plans with proposed grades, contours, slopes, and drainage patterns
• Design drainage and stormwater systems
• Design retaining walls and prepare supporting details
• Design parking areas, driveways, road improvements, and site circulation
• Lay out utilities including stormwater, sewer, and water systems
• Prepare plan profiles, sections, and civil details
• Interpret zoning documents and prepare bulk tables and compliance summaries
• Build reusable civil details and drawing standards
• Produce complete civil plan sets ready for review and stamping by a local U.S. professional engineer
• Coordinate with architects, surveyors, structural engineers, and other project stakeholders
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• Strong hands-on Autodesk Civil 3D experience
• Substantial civil site-design experience — not AutoCAD drafting alone
• Grading and earthwork design experience
• Drainage and stormwater system design experience
• Topographic and site-development experience
• Retaining-wall design and documentation experience
• Parking, driveway, and roadway-design experience
• Utility-layout experience for sewer, water, and stormwater systems
• Experience with zoning interpretation and site-compliance documentation
• Strong plan-profile, section, and civil-detail skills
• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent professional civil-design experience
• Strong written and spoken English
• Portfolio showing complete civil site plans you personally produced
NICE TO HAVE
• U.S. residential, commercial, or land-development project experience
• Experience preparing drawings for permitting or planning approval
• Familiarity with U.S. zoning and site-development requirements
• Experience coordinating with architects, surveyors, and professional engineers
• Experience building standardized civil details and reusable templates
• Experience working remotely with international teams
