About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

ABOUT THE ROLE
F5 Global Talent is hiring an experienced Employee Relations Manager to take ownership of employee performance, engagement, and workplace issues across our remote workforce.
You’ll review employee productivity and availability data, identify concerns early, speak directly with employees, agree on specific improvements, document what needs to change, and follow through until the issue is genuinely resolved.
This is a hands-on employee-relations role. You won’t simply review dashboards or escalate problems to leadership. You’ll own difficult conversations involving performance, corrective action, disputes, client concerns, and retention — and stay with each issue through verified closure.
You’ll also conduct regular one-on-ones, identify disengagement before it becomes a resignation, and work directly with employees serving U.S.-based clients.
This is a full-time, remote role for candidates based in India. You’ll primarily work India business hours, with overlap into U.S. business hours when required.
IMPORTANT: This role requires 5+ years of experience in HR business partnering, employee relations, people management, workforce operations, or a similar role where you personally handled difficult employee conversations and drove issues to resolution.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Own employee performance conversations from first discussion through verified closure
• Review productivity, availability, responsiveness, and work-pattern data to identify concerns
• Speak directly with employees about performance gaps, attendance, responsiveness, or client concerns
• Run regular one-on-ones, with more frequent check-ins during the first 90 days or when someone is at risk
• Create clear corrective-action plans with specific expectations, owners, and deadlines
• Follow up until agreed improvements are demonstrated — not just discussed
• Take ownership of repeated concerns raised by U.S.-based clients
• Identify disengagement and retention risks before they become resignations
• Handle difficult conversations involving performance, disputes, corrective action, and expectations
• Conduct retention conversations when appropriate
• Document conversations, decisions, commitments, and outcomes clearly
• Escalate to senior leadership only when direct intervention has genuinely not resolved the issue
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• 5+ years of experience in employee relations, HR business partnering, people management, workforce operations, or service delivery
• Hands-on experience personally leading difficult employee conversations
• Experience handling performance issues, corrective action, disputes, and retention situations
• Proven ability to resolve employee issues directly rather than simply escalating them
• Experience creating corrective-action plans and tracking them through closure
• Strong judgment and confidence when dealing with sensitive employee situations
• Ability to interpret employee productivity or workforce data and turn it into action
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Strong documentation skills
• High level of ownership, persistence, and follow-through
• Ability to work independently and make sound people decisions
• Based in India
• Ability to work India business hours with overlap into U.S. business hours when required
NICE TO HAVE
• Experience managing remote employees supporting U.S.-based clients
• Experience in BPO, outsourcing, staffing, or IT services
• Familiarity with workforce-monitoring tools such as We360, Hubstaff, Time Doctor, or ActivTrak
• Experience with HR platforms such as Keka, Zoho People, Darwinbox, greytHR, BambooHR, or Workday
• Experience conducting retention conversations after an employee has submitted a resignation
