Role Description The Site Civil Engineer will oversee civil works at Akshaya Patra’s facilities and projects in Patna, ensuring that construction and infrastructure activities meet quality, safety and regulatory standards. This full-time, on-site role includes supervising contractors, monitoring daily site activities, and coordinating with project managers, architects and other engineering professionals to deliver projects on schedule and within budget. The engineer will review drawings and specifications, support civil engineering design implementation, and ensure proper execution of foundations, structures, utilities and site development. Responsibilities also include conducting site inspections, managing stormwater and drainage solutions, maintaining documentation and reports, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety guidelines. The role may involve liaising with local authorities, vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement of kitchen and facility infrastructure.
Qualifications
Ability to apply Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design principles to site development, structural works and infrastructure projects.
Experience working as Civil Engineers on construction sites, with strong Planning skills for scheduling, resource allocation and coordination.
Knowledge of Stormwater Management, drainage design and implementation of sustainable site and utility solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
Hands-on experience in site supervision, quality control, safety compliance and contractor management.
Familiarity with relevant building codes, standards and local regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in basic engineering and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD) and MS Office for reports and documentation.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Willingness to work on-site in Patna and visit project locations as required.
