Role Description The Video Editor Intern role is a remote internship focused on supporting Laneway’s media and marketing initiatives. The intern will assist in editing video content for social media, digital campaigns, and internal projects, ensuring consistent visual quality and alignment with brand guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include assembling raw footage, trimming and sequencing clips, adding transitions, titles, and basic motion graphics, and performing color correction and sound adjustments. The role may also involve collaborating with designers and marketers to repurpose content, optimize videos for different platforms, and maintain organized media libraries. This internship offers exposure to real-world client projects and an opportunity to learn within a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Video Production and basic understanding of the end-to-end video creation process.
Candidates should possess skills in Video Editing, including cutting, sequencing, and refining video content.
Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to enhance visual consistency and mood.
Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics to create engaging visual elements and titles.
Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and graphic tools (e.g., After Effects, Photoshop) is beneficial.
Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to follow creative direction in a remote work setup.
Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset when working with cross-functional teams.
Relevant coursework or portfolio showcasing video and motion work is a plus; current students or recent graduates in media, design, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
