User Experience Writer

Role Description The User Experience Writer is a full-time, remote role responsible for crafting clear, concise, and user-centered copy for digital products and interfaces. Day-to-day work includes writing microcopy for buttons, menus, error messages, and onboarding flows, as well as content for product pages, help articles, and in-app guidance. The role involves collaborating closely with UX designers, product managers, and developers to ensure content aligns with design, functionality, and brand voice. The User Experience Writer will participate in UX research activities, refine information architecture and content strategy, and use data and feedback to iterate on copy. This role also supports documentation for new features and contributes to style guides and content standards across the organization.
Qualifications
Strong User Experience Writing skills, with experience creating clear, accessible, and user-focused interface copy.
Proficiency in Technical Writing and Writing for digital products, including documentation, help content, and product communications.
Experience with UX Research methods (e.g., usability testing, interviews, content testing) to inform copy and content decisions.
Ability to develop and apply Content Strategy, including structuring information, defining content goals, and maintaining consistency across channels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail, grammar, and tone appropriate for diverse audiences.
Comfort working fully remote, with strong time management, collaboration, and documentation practices.
Familiarity with UX and design tools (such as Figma, Sketch, or similar) and basic understanding of web and mobile product development.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Human-Computer Interaction, Technical Writing, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in technology, SaaS, or digital product environments is beneficial; portfolio of UX writing or product content is strongly preferred.
