Role Description The Software Tester role is a full-time remote position focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of software products. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, executing, and documenting test cases, performing functional and regression testing, and identifying, tracking, and reporting defects. The Software Tester collaborates closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, validate fixes, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes. The role also involves analyzing test results, suggesting enhancements to test coverage, and helping maintain consistent quality standards across releases.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Software Testing and Quality Assurance, including understanding of testing methodologies and best practices.
Proficiency in Test Execution and creating, maintaining, and reviewing Test Cases for different types of testing.
Demonstrated Analytical Skills for identifying issues, interpreting test results, and providing clear, evidence-based feedback.
Experience with defect tracking tools, test management platforms, and version control systems.
Familiarity with manual and, preferably, basic automated testing approaches.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a remote, cross-functional environment.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple testing tasks and deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with web or mobile application testing and basic understanding of SDLC and Agile practices is beneficial.
