Role Description The Cloud Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure to support PPStack’s learning platforms and digital services. Day-to-day tasks include building and managing scalable cloud environments, automating deployment and monitoring processes, and ensuring system reliability, security, and performance. The role involves collaborating with software development teams to optimize applications for cloud environments, managing databases and storage solutions, and troubleshooting infrastructure issues. The Cloud Engineer will also contribute to improving DevOps practices, documenting technical solutions, and supporting continuous integration and delivery pipelines across PPStack’s global EdTech ecosystem.
Qualifications
Strong Cloud Computing and Infrastructure skills, including experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools.
Solid Software Development skills, with proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, Bash) and familiarity with APIs and microservices.
Hands-on Linux skills, including system administration, shell scripting, and performance tuning in production environments.
Experience working with Databases, including relational and/or NoSQL solutions, database design, optimization, and backup/recovery practices.
Understanding of networking, security best practices, and DevOps tools (e.g., CI/CD, containers, orchestration).
Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience in EdTech, SaaS, or technology-driven organizations is an advantage.
