Role Description The Cybersecurity Manager for Australia Opportunities will oversee the security posture of systems, networks, and applications supporting business operations and international expansion initiatives. This full-time, on-site role is based in Australia and involves leading security assessments, monitoring threats, coordinating incident response, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and best practices. The manager will collaborate with IT, operations, and external partners to implement security controls, manage vulnerabilities, and support secure data handling and communication. Daily responsibilities include reviewing security logs, conducting risk assessments, guiding secure configuration and development practices, preparing reports for leadership, and supporting training and awareness activities for team members.
Qualifications
Strong foundational knowledge and practical experience in Cybersecurity and Information Security, including policies, standards, and risk management.
Proficiency in Network Security, covering firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, secure network architecture, and network monitoring.
Experience with Application Security practices, such as secure coding principles, application security testing, and protecting web-facing services.
Hands-on skills in Vulnerability Assessment, including use of scanning tools, interpreting results, and coordinating remediation activities.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+) are an advantage.
Demonstrated ability to lead security projects, work cross-functionally, and communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to data protection and international operations (such as ISO 27001 or similar) is beneficial.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement in security controls.
