Java Software Engineer

Role Description The Senior Software Development Engineer is a full-time, remote role responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions that support EgoTECHworld’s products and services. Day-to-day work includes architecting and implementing back-end web services, writing clean and efficient code, conducting code reviews, and ensuring system reliability and performance. This role collaborates closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions, troubleshoot issues, and improve existing systems. The Senior Software Development Engineer also mentors other team members, contributes to technical standards and best practices, and participates in planning and estimation for new features and enhancements.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
Hands-on experience in Software Development and Back-End Web Development, including building and maintaining production-grade services.
Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), using one or more modern languages such as Java, C#, Python, or similar.
Experience with APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Ability to design, debug, and optimize complex systems, with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
Comfort working in remote, cross-functional teams, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
Several years of professional experience as a software engineer, including senior-level responsibilities and mentoring others.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
