Art & Jewelry Appraiser / High-Value Assets Valuer

We are seeking an experienced Art & Jewelry Appraiser / High-Value Assets Valuer to provide professional valuation, authentication, market analysis, and risk assessment for fine art, jewelry, collectibles, and other high-value assets.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and conduct professional valuations, appraisals, authentication reviews, and market assessments for high-value assets.
Evaluate fine art, jewelry, gemstones, watches, antiques, collectibles, luxury items, and other valuable personal assets.
Conduct detailed assessments of provenance, authenticity, condition, rarity, craftsmanship, materials, historical significance, and marketability.
Research auction results, private transactions, market trends, comparable assets, dealer activity, and international pricing data.
Prepare and review valuation reports, appraisal certificates, condition reports, market analyses, insurance valuations, and advisory documentation.
Provide valuations for purposes including insurance, estate planning, inheritance, financing, taxation, litigation, portfolio management, acquisition, and disposal.
Coordinate with auction houses, galleries, museums, collectors, insurers, financial institutions, legal advisors, estate managers, and specialist experts.
Identify and assess valuation risks, authenticity concerns, provenance issues, market volatility, condition risks, and potential discrepancies.
Monitor developments in international art, jewelry, luxury goods, collectibles, auction markets, and high-value asset investment trends.
Provide professional advice on acquisition opportunities, disposal strategies, collection management, asset diversification, and market positioning.
Maintain accurate and confidential valuation records, asset databases, market research, provenance documentation, and client information.
Provide senior clients and management with timely valuation insights, market intelligence, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations.
Requirements & Qualifications
Degree in Art History, Fine Arts, Gemology, Jewelry Design, Valuation, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in art appraisal, jewelry valuation, luxury asset valuation, auction houses, galleries, private collections, or related valuation services.
Strong knowledge of fine art, jewelry, gemstones, watches, antiques, collectibles, luxury assets, valuation methodologies, and international market practices.
Experience conducting comparative market analysis, condition assessments, provenance research, authentication reviews, and formal valuation reports.
Proficient in valuation databases, auction market platforms, research tools, Microsoft Office, Excel, and relevant industry software.
Strong analytical, research, valuation, negotiation, documentation, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to work with collectors, private clients, financial institutions, insurers, auction houses, galleries, legal professionals, and other high-value asset stakeholders.
Relevant professional certification such as RICS, ASA, ISA, GIA, FGA, AGA, or equivalent valuation or gemological qualification is an advantage.
Experience with international art markets, luxury jewelry, rare collectibles, private collections, auction transactions, or high-net-worth clients is preferred.
