JavaScript Developer

A leading healthcare technology company is seeking an experienced developer to build scalable backend applications that support critical healthcare referral decisioning workflows. The Role
Design, build, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.
Develop APIs supporting specialty referral decisioning workflows, including specialty recommendation, provider/specialist matching, and notifications.
Design and optimize database schemas, indexes, and queries using PostgreSQL.
Implement complex business rules and decision-logic engines within backend services.
Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests using Jest, Mocha, or similar frameworks.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes using tools such as GitHub Actions and GitOps.
What You'll Need
4+ years of professional Node.js and Express experience.
Strong understanding of RESTful API design, API versioning, and JSON schema validation.
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
Experience with Prisma, PgAdmin, and Liquibase.
Proven experience building and maintaining production REST APIs.
Experience implementing business rules, decision logic, or rules engines within backend services.
