Software Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!
The Role
• Design, develop, test, and maintain production software for a mission-critical, future-ready automation platform.
• Serve as Scrum Master for an Agile development team, facilitating ceremonies and removing impediments.
• Guide the team through SAFe cadence, including PI planning, iteration planning, and backlog refinement.
• Track and communicate team flow metrics, velocity, and PI objective progress to drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to communicate team status, risks, dependencies, and delivery progress.
• Leverage modern DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and AI-assisted development tools.
What You'll Need
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master's with 6+ years.
• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and reviewing production Java applications.
• 2+ years of experience serving as a Scrum Master on a SAFe Agile team.
• Experience designing and implementing microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Significant experience with the Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Spring Security.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
