About The Role
The Product Manager will own strategy, roadmap, and execution for a cloud-based platform that helps engineering teams integrate APIs, manage data workflows, and operate production services reliably. The role translates customer and business needs into clear product requirements across backend services, developer tooling, observability, and platform infrastructure.
This role matters because platform decisions directly affect developer velocity, system reliability, and customer retention. The Product Manager will work closely with engineering, design, data, sales, and customer teams to prioritize high-impact investments, define measurable outcomes, and deliver products that are technically sound and easy to adopt.
Key Responsibilities
Own the product roadmap for platform capabilities including REST and GraphQL APIs, SDKs, authentication, data pipelines, and observability workflows
Translate customer problems and technical constraints into product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release plans using tools such as Jira, Linear, and Confluence
Partner with engineering leads and architects to evaluate build-versus-buy decisions, API contracts, cloud infrastructure dependencies, and scalability tradeoffs across AWS or GCP
Define success metrics and analyze product usage, funnel conversion, reliability signals, and customer feedback using SQL, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or equivalent analytics tools
Lead discovery through customer interviews, usability testing, technical workshops, and competitive analysis focused on developers, platform engineers, and technical buyers
Coordinate cross-functional launches from beta planning through documentation, enablement, rollout monitoring, and post-launch iteration
Communicate priorities, tradeoffs, risks, and delivery status clearly to executives, engineering teams, and customer-facing stakeholders
What We Are Looking For
3–8 years of product management experience, including ownership of technical products, developer platforms, APIs, infrastructure, data products, or enterprise SaaS
Demonstrated experience taking products from discovery through launch, with a track record of defining roadmaps and delivering measurable customer or business outcomes
Strong technical fluency in distributed systems, cloud services, APIs, authentication, databases, and software development lifecycle practices
Working knowledge of product analytics and experimentation; comfortable writing basic SQL and interpreting usage, retention, conversion, and operational metrics
Experience collaborating with engineering teams using Agile development practices, issue trackers, product documentation, and release management processes
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Bonus: Experience with developer tools, Kubernetes, event-driven architectures, data platforms, AI/ML infrastructure, enterprise security, or launching products for technical users
