Role Description The Financial Data Analyst (Export Industry) will work on-site at the Kochi office in a full-time capacity, supporting financial decision-making through rigorous data analysis. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting, cleaning, and validating financial and operational data related to export activities, preparing regular financial reports, and analyzing trends in revenue, costs, pricing, and profitability. The role involves building and maintaining dashboards, monitoring key performance indicators, and providing insights to improve margins, optimize export processes, and manage financial risk. The analyst will collaborate with finance, operations, and management teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with relevant financial and trade regulations. The position also requires documenting methodologies, presenting findings in a clear format, and recommending data-driven actions to enhance overall business performance.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
Proficiency in data analytics and data analysis tools and techniques, including spreadsheets and/or BI platforms.
Experience in financial analysis and finance, preferably within the export or international trade industry.
3+ years of professional experience in a financial data analyst or similar analytical role.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, Business, or a related field.
Working knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
Familiarity with export documentation, trade regulations, and international payment terms is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail, excellent numerical skills, and the ability to work with large data sets accurately.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear, structured manner.
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams in an on-site environment.
