Role Description The Cashier role at Pernod Ricard is a full-time, on-site position based in Seattle, WA. The Cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit, and digital payments while maintaining compliance with company policies and local regulations. Day-to-day tasks include greeting customers, answering basic product questions, ensuring age verification where required, and promoting responsible consumption aligned with Pernod Ricard’s values. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, reconciling cash drawers at shift end, and reporting any discrepancies promptly. The Cashier collaborates with store and sales team members to support smooth store operations and deliver a courteous, welcoming customer experience.
Qualifications
Demonstrated cash-handling and point-of-sale (POS) operation skills, including accurate transaction processing and basic reconciliation.
Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact courteously and professionally in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail, reliability, and basic numeracy skills to manage payments, receipts, and change accurately.
Ability to stand for extended periods, manage a steady flow of customers, and maintain an organized checkout area.
Understanding of and commitment to responsible sales practices, including legal age verification and adherence to company policies.
Prior retail, hospitality, or cashier experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
