2. About the Opportunity:
The Sr Claim Examiner- WC is responsible for investigating and promptly settling advanced, large loss, and complex workers'' compensation claims. This role ensures claims are handled equitably and within established authority, contributing to the organization''s goal of restoring the lives of claimants through effective claims management. The position supports legal preparation and mentors new employees, enhancing overall team capability and claim resolution quality.
3. Responsibilities:
Investigate and settle moderate-to-difficult claims with minimal supervision
Review coverage, determine liability, and assess compensability
Secure necessary information and arrange property damage appraisals
Utilize claims best practices to settle claims
Evaluate and set reserves using independent judgment
Assist supervisors and attorneys in preparing litigation cases
Conduct training and mentor new hires
4. Requirements:
Experience handling advanced, large loss, and complex claims
Ability to work within established authority on moderate-to-difficult claims
Skills in liability determination and claims evaluation
Capability to mentor and train new employees
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
