Role Description The Information Technology Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This role is responsible for maintaining and administering the organization’s IT and network infrastructure, including servers, workstations, and office networks. Daily tasks include monitoring system performance, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues, and implementing network security measures to protect data and systems. The specialist will install and update software, manage user accounts and permissions, and ensure reliable access to communication and collaboration tools. The role also involves providing responsive technical support to staff, documenting solutions and procedures, and collaborating with management to recommend improvements to IT systems and policies.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Information Technology knowledge and hands-on experience with enterprise hardware and software environments.
Candidates should possess Network Administration skills, including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi networks.
Candidates should possess Troubleshooting capabilities for hardware, operating systems, applications, and connectivity issues.
Candidates should possess Network Security skills, such as managing firewalls, antivirus tools, access controls, and backup and recovery procedures.
Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to provide clear, patient, and solution-focused support to internal users.
Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, CCNA) are beneficial.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work proactively in a fast-paced, student-centric environment are preferred.
