Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Software Engineer at CoreFi. The Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs that power the platform’s core banking and financial lifecycle capabilities. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing microservice-based solutions, optimizing system performance, ensuring reliability and scalability, and contributing to secure, compliant financial workflows. The person in this role will collaborate closely with product, architecture, and DevOps teams, review code, mentor other engineers, and help shape technical standards and best practices. They will also participate in solution design for new features, improve existing services, and support production systems in a regulated, high-availability environment.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and systems design.
Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience delivering production-grade services.
Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, working with APIs, databases, and distributed systems.
Advanced skills in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and designing maintainable, modular codebases.
Experience with microservice architectures, cloud-native environments, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Background in financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries is highly beneficial.
Familiarity with security, compliance, and reliability practices for mission-critical systems.
Ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team, with clear communication and mentoring skills.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
