Role Description The Business System Designer is a full-time, remote role responsible for analyzing business processes and designing technology-driven systems that improve efficiency and effectiveness. Day-to-day activities include gathering and documenting requirements, mapping workflows, and creating system specifications in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. The role involves translating business needs into detailed system designs, coordinating with development teams, and supporting testing and validation efforts to ensure solutions meet performance and quality standards. The designer also reviews existing systems, recommends enhancements, and prepares clear documentation, diagrams, and presentations to communicate proposed solutions. Ongoing responsibilities include monitoring system performance, identifying optimization opportunities, and staying current with relevant technologies and industry practices.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Systems Design skills, including requirements analysis, process modeling, and solution architecture.
Candidates should possess Testing skills, such as creating test plans, executing test cases, and validating system functionality against business requirements.
Candidates should possess Research skills to evaluate technologies, analyze business needs, and identify best practices for system improvement.
Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills to produce clear technical diagrams, models, and visual representations of system components.
Candidates should possess foundational Electronics knowledge to understand hardware interactions, system integration, and technical constraints where applicable.
Candidates should ideally have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and structured documentation skills.
Candidates should have effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a remote environment.
Candidates should typically hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related field, or have equivalent practical experience.
Experience with business process modeling tools, requirements management tools, and collaboration platforms is beneficial.
