Software Engineer II

We are working with a leading actuarial and consulting firm that develops and deploys category-defining, data-driven, software-as-a-service (SaaS) products for a broad spectrum of insurance clients. The Role
Design, develop, maintain, and improve software and technical solutions for business challenges
Develop and maintain modern front-end applications and supporting backend-for-frontend (BFF) APIs and service integrations
Play a key role in redesigning monolithic legacy products in AWS and championing AWS best practices
Mentor team members on software engineering best practices and focus on overall product quality
Develop and maintain unit and integration tests, responsibly manage workload, and participate in code reviews
Help the team achieve sprint goals through independent work and collaboration, and support code deployments
What You'll Need
5+ years of relevant software engineering experience
Strong experience with React and TypeScript/JavaScript for modern application development
Experience developing or supporting backend services and BFF APIs using C# (.NET 8) and SQL
Cloud development experience with AWS and understanding of DevOps best practices using GitHub and Terraform
Understanding of Agile practices (e.g., Scrum) and the full software development lifecycle
Excellent technical design, problem-solving, debugging skills, and experience with domain-driven design, microservice, and event-driven architecture
