About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Developer (Java & Kafka) with 5 to 10 years of hands-on development experience to join our engineering team.
In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of highly scalable, high-performance applications leveraging AWS, Kafka, Spring Boot, and Node.js. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including architects, product managers, and DevOps engineers to drive technical excellence, solve complex challenges, and mentor junior developers.
Key Responsibilities
Application & Architecture Design: Lead the design, development, and scalability of cloud-native microservices architectures while optimizing security and performance.
Hands-on Development: Write, test, and optimize clean, robust, and maintainable code across distributed systems.
System Optimization & Issue Resolution: Analyze application logs, troubleshoot complex production issues, and improve fault tolerance and system reliability.
Code Quality & Mentorship: Conduct thorough code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers on best practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with architects, DevOps, and product managers within an Agile framework to deliver end-to-end features.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: 5 to 10 years of software development experience with a focus on cloud-native and microservices environments.
Backend Mastery: Deep hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, and building secure RESTful APIs.
Event Streaming & Data: Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, data serialization techniques, and formats such as Avro and JSON.
Cloud & DevOps: Proven experience in AWS (Serverless, containerized applications), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps principles.
Frontend Knowledge: Familiarity with Angular or modern UI frameworks.
Methodologies: Strong background in Agile practices, handling full SDLC responsibilities, and driving technical discussions.
