About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Automation Test Engineer / Lead Quality Engineer to design, build, and scale robust test automation frameworks across web, mobile, and backend microservices.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in automation architecture, modern testing tools, CI/CD integration, and programming, with the ability to drive shift-left testing, implement automated quality gates, and mentor QA engineers.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, build, and optimize scalable automation frameworks from scratch using Java, TypeScript, or Python.
* Implement Data-driven, BDD/Cucumber, and Keyword-driven automation approaches.
* Lead automation across UI, mobile, and API/microservices testing.
* Develop automated tests using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, REST Assured, or Supertest.
* Integrate automated test suites into Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI pipelines.
* Implement automated quality gates and support shift-left testing practices.
* Introduce basic performance and security testing using tools such as k6 and JMeter.
* Define test coverage, quality metrics, pass/fail thresholds, and automated reporting.
* Build test reporting dashboards using Allure or ReportPortal.
* Conduct code reviews, establish automation coding standards, and mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers.
Required Skills
* 5+ years of software quality engineering experience with strong focus on test automation architecture.
* Strong programming expertise in Java, TypeScript, Python, or C#.
* Strong knowledge of automation design patterns including Page Object Model and Factory Pattern.
* Hands-on expertise with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, and Appium.
* Experience with Docker, Selenium Grid, BrowserStack, or Sauce Labs.
* Strong understanding of parallel and cross-browser test execution.
* Experience writing YAML/Groovy pipeline scripts for CI/CD automation.
* Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
