About the Role
We are looking for a Junior Automation Test Engineer, 1-2 Years to join our QA team. The role involves developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts for web applications and REST APIs.
You will work closely with Senior QA Engineers and developers to convert manual test scenarios into reliable automated test suites and support automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and REST APIs.
Work with Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress using Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
Execute automated regression and smoke test suites and analyse test results.
Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, screenshots, logs, and API traces.
Collaborate with manual QA teams to convert repetitive test scenarios into automated tests.
Support automated test execution within Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI pipelines.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to the overall QA process.
Required Skills
1–2 years of experience in software testing/automation.
Bachelor’s degree/B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Fundamental knowledge of Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript and object-oriented programming.
Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, or REST Assured.
Experience with REST API testing using Postman or automation libraries.
Basic knowledge of Git, including commits, branching, and pull requests.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum and STLC.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
