UX Designer

Role Description As a UX Designer intern at Digistall, you will contribute to designing user-centered experiences for web and mobile platforms that support rural and emerging e-commerce users. On a day-to-day basis, you will participate in user research activities, synthesize findings, and apply design thinking to create intuitive workflows and interfaces. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and visual design assets that reflect the needs of rural merchants and buyers. The role includes testing and iterating on designs based on user feedback and usability metrics, as well as documenting design decisions and guidelines. This is a remote internship role, requiring effective online collaboration, time management, and self-directed learning.
Qualifications
Ability to apply Design Thinking and User Experience (UX) principles to create user-centered solutions.
Skills in User Research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand user needs and behaviors.
Proficiency in Visual Design and Prototyping using common design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
Strong interaction design, information architecture, and layout skills to support clear and accessible interfaces.
Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present design concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Interest in social impact, rural markets, and inclusive design; prior experience in e-commerce or product design is a plus.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or coursework in Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or a related field.
