Role Description The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain embedded software solutions for products across Posspole’s innovation-led sectors. This full-time role is on-site in the Greater Bengaluru Area and involves end-to-end ownership of software modules, from requirements analysis and architecture design to implementation, integration, and validation. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional hardware and product teams to ensure robust system performance, reliability, and scalability, while adhering to industry standards and best practices. Daily responsibilities include coding, debugging, performance optimization, code reviews, documentation, and support for certification and compliance activities. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers, contributing to technical decision-making, and supporting continuous improvement in development processes and tools.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in embedded software programming and embedded software development for real-time and resource-constrained systems.
Candidates should possess skills in software development practices, including requirements analysis, implementation, unit testing, integration, and maintenance.
Candidates should possess skills in software design, with experience in architecting modular, maintainable, and scalable embedded systems.
Candidates should possess skills in debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing embedded software using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
Experience with C/C++ for embedded systems, RTOS or bare-metal development, and familiarity with microcontrollers, SoCs, and hardware interfaces (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART) is beneficial.
Background in high-reliability or safety-critical domains such as Defence, Aerospace, Space, Healthcare, or Telecom is an advantage.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong problem-solving abilities, collaborative mindset, and ability to work on-site with multidisciplinary teams in the Greater Bengaluru Area.
