Role Description The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s IT infrastructure, systems, and services to ensure reliable and secure operations. This full-time remote role includes managing IT support activities, monitoring network and system performance, coordinating software updates and deployments, and handling incident response and escalation. The IT Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, implement technology solutions, and maintain documentation for processes, policies, and system configurations. The role also involves managing vendors, optimizing IT resources, enforcing IT security standards, and guiding team members on best practices and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in IT infrastructure management, including servers, networks, cloud services, and endpoint devices.
Candidates should possess skills in IT operations and support, such as incident management, troubleshooting, ticketing systems, and service-level monitoring.
Candidates should possess skills in information security practices, including access control, data protection, backup and recovery, and basic compliance frameworks.
Candidates should possess skills in project and vendor management, including planning, coordination, budgeting, and evaluating external service providers.
Candidates should possess skills in documentation and communication, including writing technical procedures, reporting metrics, and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Relevant bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in an IT leadership or supervisory role, preferably within a remote or distributed team environment.
Professional certifications (such as ITIL, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or similar) are beneficial.
