Role Description The Web Designer role at Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. is a remote, contract position focused on designing and maintaining engaging, user-friendly web experiences that align with the company’s brand and business goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating website layouts, interfaces, and visual elements, optimizing designs for usability, accessibility, and performance, and ensuring responsive behavior across devices and browsers. The Web Designer will collaborate with marketing, communications, and development teams to translate business requirements into design concepts, produce graphics and web assets, and refine designs based on feedback and analytics. The role also involves staying current with design trends and web standards to continuously improve the digital presence of the company.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Web Design and Responsive Web Design, with experience creating modern, user-centered interfaces.
Proficiency in Graphic Design and creating high-quality Graphics for web assets, banners, and digital campaigns.
Foundational knowledge of Front-End Development (HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript) to effectively collaborate with developers and implement designs.
Experience working with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator).
Understanding of UX/UI principles, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a remote environment.
Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
Relevant diploma or degree in Design, Computer Science, Multimedia, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
