Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Web Developer – Maintenance at Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. The role involves maintaining and updating company websites, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting technical issues, implementing routine updates, optimizing site speed, and ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility. The Web Developer – Maintenance will collaborate with internal stakeholders to update content, improve user experience, and support new feature integrations while aligning with brand and compliance requirements. Documentation of changes, monitoring site analytics, and suggesting incremental improvements will also be part of the regular workflow.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Web Development and Programming skills to maintain and enhance existing web applications.
Candidates should possess Front-End Development and Web Design skills to ensure responsive, user-friendly, and accessible interfaces.
Candidates should possess Back-End Web Development skills to manage server-side logic, integrations, and database interactions.
Experience with common web technologies and tools (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, frameworks, version control systems) is beneficial.
Familiarity with website security best practices, performance optimization, and basic SEO principles is preferred.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time schedules, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Relevant academic background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Previous experience maintaining corporate or healthcare-related websites will be an added advantage.
