Role Description This is a part-time, remote Website Developer role focused on designing, developing, and maintaining Akums’ web presence. The Website Developer will build and optimize user-friendly web interfaces, implement responsive layouts, and ensure consistent branding across pages. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining back-end functionality, integrating APIs, and ensuring site performance, security, and scalability. The role also involves collaborating with marketing and IT teams to implement content updates, troubleshoot technical issues, and support new digital initiatives. The Website Developer will regularly test, debug, and refine features to provide a seamless experience for internal stakeholders and external visitors.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Web Development and Programming skills, with the ability to translate functional requirements into robust, maintainable code.
Candidates should possess Front-End Development and Web Design skills to create responsive, accessible, and visually consistent user interfaces.
Candidates should possess Back-End Web Development skills to manage server-side logic, database interactions, security, and performance optimization.
Familiarity with modern web technologies and frameworks (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one major framework or library) is beneficial.
Experience with version control systems (such as Git) and collaborative development workflows is preferred.
Understanding of SEO basics, web accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility is advantageous.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines is essential.
A relevant degree or certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
