Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior AI Imaging & Visualization Lead to define and drive the strategy, architecture, and production of next-generation visual assets for our eCommerce experiences. This role combines deep expertise in photo retouching and visual storytelling with advanced AI imaging, generative tools, and scalable image pipelines. You will lead a small team of image specialists and engineers to deliver high-quality, on-brand imagery across product pages, marketing, and interactive experiences, while implementing automated workflows that increase throughput and reduce manual effort.
Our luxury furniture client is looking for a Senior AI Imaging & Visualization Lead to support their team on a long-term, ongoing basis, about 20-40 hours/week!
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute AI-generated imagery that supports brand, marketing, catalog, and eCommerce initiatives.
Create photorealistic lifestyle environments showcasing home furnishings across living rooms, bedrooms, dining spaces, and other interior settings.
Generate and refine product-focused imagery for eCommerce and digital merchandising applications.
Partner with creative, marketing, and production teams to establish repeatable AI imaging workflows and best practices.
Lead research and development efforts to evaluate emerging AI technologies, tools, and creative workflows.
Build scalable processes that enable multiple team members to create consistent, high-quality visual outputs.
Use AI-generated content as a visualization tool to support concept development and pre-production planning before traditional photography shoots.
Ensure all generated imagery meets luxury brand standards for realism, product accuracy, lighting, composition, and visual storytelling.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define image creation guidelines, quality standards, and workflow efficiencies.
- Explore innovative ways to blend AI-generated content with traditional photography and rendering techniques.
Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of experience in visual content creation, photography, retouching, digital imaging, or creative production.
Experience creating imagery for home furnishings, interior design, furniture, or related lifestyle brands.
Hands-on experience with generative AI tools such as Midjourney, ChatGPT Image Generation, Weavy, and other emerging visual AI platforms.
Strong understanding of photography fundamentals, including lighting, perspective, composition, color, and environmental styling.
Experience working on photo shoots, image retouching, or post-production workflows.
Ability to evaluate and improve image realism, ensuring accurate product representation and visual consistency.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional creative and production teams.
Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for experimenting with emerging technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with 3D rendering and visualization software.
Background in furniture, home decor, luxury retail, or consumer lifestyle brands.
Experience building creative production workflows or operational processes.
Familiarity with integrating AI-generated assets into broader marketing and content production ecosystems.
