Visual Designer

Tech client is seeking a Visual Designer to work with their team. This is a 40 hour/week, contract opportunity extending through January 2027. Fully remote.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Visual Designer will quickly take ownership of projects, work independently, and bring strong ideas to life with minimal direction. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving creative challenges with limited information, and can develop original concepts rather than simply executing within established templates. You'll work across a variety of design needs, including web, presentations, marketing materials, print, and other digital assets while helping evolve and elevate an existing brand system.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate is highly creative, concept-driven designer who can take limited information and turn it into compelling visual solutions. You have strong design fundamentals, can work independently with minimal direction, and thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment. You bring experience creating assets across web, digital, print, marketing, and presentation design, and you're comfortable adapting to changing priorities while delivering high-quality work. You're collaborative, curious, and excited to explore emerging design trends, new technologies, and AI-enabled workflows while helping evolve and elevate the brand.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Develop strong visual concepts and creative solutions from initial ideas through execution.
-Design a wide variety of assets including web, digital, print, presentations, and marketing materials.
-Create work that aligns with existing brand guidelines while helping expand and elevate the visual identity.
-Collaborate with cross-functional partners and contribute creative thinking throughout the design process.
-Build and optimize web-related assets using Figma and Webflow.
-Produce presentation materials, leveraging existing templates and examples while maintaining high design standards.
-Stay current on design trends, emerging technologies, and evolving AI-enabled design workflows.
-Adapt quickly to changing priorities and shifting business needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
-3+ years of experience in visual design, graphic design, or a related discipline.
-Strong creative thinking, conceptual design, and visual storytelling skills.
-Ability to take limited information and independently develop thoughtful design solutions.
-Strong understanding of visual design principles including layout, hierarchy, typography, and composition.
-Experience creating a broad range of assets across web, digital, print, marketing, and presentations.
-Experience with Figma.
-Familiarity with Webflow and an understanding of how designs transition from concept to implementation.
-Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and PowerPoint.
-Ability to work within evolving brand guidelines while maintaining brand consistency.
-Excellent attention to detail, organization, and professionalism.
-Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment with frequent pivots and changing priorities.
-Curiosity around emerging design tools and a willingness to adapt to evolving AI-enabled workflows.
