About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Analyst to join our dynamic IT team at University Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert technical guidance, project management, and operational support for our computer systems that underpin financial, clinical, and administrative functions. This role involves organizing and executing complex system tasks, including programming, system analysis, and implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and industry standards. The Systems Analyst will collaborate closely with various departments to facilitate seamless system integrations, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements that improve operational efficiency and data management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to support the organization’s strategic goals.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science, data processing, mathematics, clinical informatics, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may substitute for formal education requirements. A minimum of six years of programming and system analysis experience is essential, demonstrating proficiency in at least one computer system language and data management methodologies across multiple platforms used at University Health. Candidates should have experience working with various applications such as ERP systems (preferably PeopleSoft, Premier, UKG Dimensions), document management solutions (Hyland Onbase), API integrations, and report writing tools like Tableau and SQL. Familiarity with SharePoint, Adobe Suite, MS Office, and network protocols such as TCP/IP and FTP/SFTP is also preferred. Technical expertise in languages and development environments like ASP/Web development, Business Objects, Visual Basic, C++, and PeopleSoft development is highly desirable. Candidates should also have experience working with databases such as Microsoft SQL, Oracle, or Cache, and operating systems including Windows and UNIX.
Responsibilities
Provide expert technical guidance and support for the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems used across financial, clinical, and administrative operations.
Manage and organize complex system tasks, including programming, system analysis, and project coordination, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with organizational policies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement system enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workflows.
Participate in system testing, validation, and documentation to ensure accuracy and reliability of deployed solutions.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies, industry standards, and best practices to recommend innovative solutions.
Assist in the development of system documentation, user manuals, and training materials for end-users and technical staff.
Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and backups to ensure high availability and performance.
Coordinate with vendors and external partners for system integrations, upgrades, and support services.
Support organizational initiatives to improve data management, reporting, and analytics capabilities.
