About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Network Engineer to help design, secure, optimize, and scale enterprise network infrastructure supporting critical business operations across a distributed environment.
This is a senior-level opportunity for an engineer who wants more than routine network administration. You will have meaningful ownership of architecture, performance, reliability, automation, security, and modernization initiatives while working with highly collaborative infrastructure, cloud, security, and engineering teams.

What You’ll Own
Design, implement, operate, and improve enterprise network infrastructure across distributed environments.
Lead architecture and engineering efforts for LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, cloud networking, and data-center connectivity.
Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and related network technologies.
Ensure high availability, resiliency, scalability, and performance across critical network services.
Troubleshoot complex Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking issues across enterprise environments.
Develop network standards, architecture documentation, diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
Identify performance bottlenecks and implement long-term improvements rather than short-term fixes.
Partner with cybersecurity teams to strengthen segmentation, access controls, firewall policies, and network security.
Support hybrid and multi-cloud network connectivity.
Lead or contribute to network migrations, upgrades, consolidation projects, and infrastructure modernization.
Automate repetitive networking tasks and configuration processes using scripting and Infrastructure as Code practices.
Improve monitoring, alerting, observability, and capacity planning.
Analyze incidents and perform root-cause analysis for complex outages and performance issues.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers across the broader infrastructure organization.
Participate in architecture reviews and influence technical standards and future-state network strategy.
Evaluate emerging network technologies and recommend solutions that improve security, reliability, and operational efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a senior engineer with strong technical depth, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently in complex environments.
Strong candidates will typically bring:
7+ years of professional network engineering experience, preferably within enterprise or large-scale environments.
Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, subnetting, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and network security.
Deep experience with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, or similar technologies.
Strong experience with enterprise switching and routing platforms.
Hands-on experience supporting firewalls, VPN technologies, and secure remote connectivity.
Experience with high-availability and fault-tolerant network architectures.
Strong troubleshooting skills across complex distributed systems.
Experience working with large-scale production infrastructure.
Strong understanding of network performance, capacity planning, and traffic analysis.
Ability to clearly communicate technical risks, architecture decisions, and recommendations.
Strong documentation and change-management discipline.
Ability to work effectively within a remote, highly collaborative engineering environment.

Preferred Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, JNCIE, PCNSE, AWS, Azure, or related networking/cloud certifications are highly valued but not required.
