Software Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications and services used across enterprise environments.
Build reliable backend services, APIs, integrations, and customer-facing or internal product capabilities.
Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following established engineering standards.
Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions for new features and services.
Diagnose complex application issues and implement sustainable solutions rather than temporary fixes.
Improve application performance, scalability, availability, and operational reliability.
Develop automated unit, integration, and functional tests to maintain software quality.
Participate in code reviews and contribute constructive technical feedback.
Work with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and modern deployment environments.
Partner with Product, Design, Quality Engineering, Data, Security, and Platform teams throughout the software-development lifecycle.
Contribute to modernization of existing applications and reduction of meaningful technical debt.
Evaluate appropriate uses of AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting workflows.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of professional software-development experience preferred.
Strong programming skills in one or more modern languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, C++, or comparable technologies.
Experience developing APIs, services, web applications, or distributed software systems.
Working knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases.
Experience with Git and modern source-control practices.
Familiarity with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or comparable cloud environments.
Understanding of data structures, algorithms, software-design principles, and object-oriented or functional programming concepts.
Familiarity with automated testing and CI/CD practices.
Understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, and secure coding fundamentals.
Ability to troubleshoot software across development and production environments.
